Every student I teach learns differently. Some are brilliant pattern-spotters but lose their way with the wording of a question; others can explain the logic beautifully yet panic when the numbers get big. My approach is simple: meet each student where they are and build from there.
I teach live online using Zoom or Google Meet. Lessons are interactive, not passive - you'll see each step as we go, work alongside me, and receive annotated notes afterwards. It's clear, personal, and surprisingly enjoyable once the fog starts to lift.
What I Teach
- GCSE Maths (Foundation & Higher): Everything from algebra and ratio to geometry, probability and statistics - but always with an emphasis on *why* methods work, not just *how* to memorise them.
- Common Entrance & Scholarships (11+ / 13+): Entrance papers can look daunting, but they're really tests of reasoning. We'll practise those "show that" questions and problem-solving strategies until they feel natural.
- Catch-Up Support: Missed topics? Lost confidence? We rebuild knowledge carefully and patiently - no stress, no judgment.
- Stretch & Challenge: For pupils aiming high, I offer enrichment work - vectors, circle theorems, logic puzzles and extension problems that make maths genuinely exciting.
I teach on weekday evenings and weekends to fit around busy lives. Lessons are calm, purposeful and occasionally sprinkled with laughter - because when you truly understand maths, it's actually great fun.
